In another universe

In another universe,
you wake me up with coffee cradled in your collarbones, so that everytime I take a sip, you pour a little bit of warmth into my soul.
In another universe,
humankind has figured out how to compress stars into cubes, so that stardust swims decadently, in my coffee.
In another universe,
it doesn’t matter if we are drinking coffee with sugar or with stars, because when I’m with you, you are the only warmth I’ll ever need.
In this universe,
you are 4,622 km away, while I sit alone in a cafe, with sugar cubes floating in my coffee.
